Major Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health of our organization. Your key responsibilities will include:
Reviewing Daily Payment Requests: Ensure all payment requests are accompanied by the necessary supporting documents and are signed by authorized personnel.
Issuing Debit/Credit Notes: Prepare and issue debit and credit notes to relevant parties, maintaining accurate financial records.
Bank Account Reconciliation: Prepare monthly reconciliations of bank accounts to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial reporting.
Recording Financial Entries: Prepare and record entries for assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses by compiling and analyzing account information.
Intercompany Transactions: Review and process intercompany Joint Venture Entries (JVE) to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
VAT Returns Preparation: Assist in the preparation of monthly Value Added Tax (VAT) returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
Task Management: Handle various tasks within the scope of your role as assigned by your direct manager, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Reconciliation of Related Parties: Conduct monthly reconciliations of balances with related parties to maintain clear and accurate records.
Sales and Purchases Recording: Accurately record monthly sales and purchases to ensure financial statements reflect the true financial position.
Financial Statement Preparation: Collaborate in the preparation of monthly financial statements, providing insights and analysis as needed.
Audit Coordination: Work closely with external auditors during the year-end audit, assisting in audit planning and execution to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, demonstrating a solid understanding of financial principles and practices.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
Professional Certifications: Possession of or actively pursuing professional certifications (such as CPA, CMA) or IFRS courses is highly desirable.
Knowledge of Accounting Principles: Strong knowledge of applicable accounting principles to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
Financial Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with financial systems and software to enhance reporting and analysis capabilities.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and compliance.
